Just as Paul longed for the Jewish people to come to faith in Romans 10, we long to see Muslims come to faith. The same description Paul used for the Jewish people also describes Muslim people. “‘For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.” (Romans 10:2-4 NIV). Our Muslim neighbors are zealous for God, but they have been deceived for generations into believing in a righteousness that comes from works. we passionately pray over our Muslim neighbors, that God will reveal himself to them.

Why Pray

Just over 30 years ago, a group of Christians began to call the church to pray for Muslims during the month of Ramadan. Over those 3 decades, there have been over 75 documented movements of Muslims to Christ, each with at least 1,000 baptisms. This is more movements to Christ than at any time in history. God is working and moving among Muslims in a new way, drawing them to himself. He is using the prayers of His people, and these prayers are leading his people to engage Muslims around them with the gospel of Christ. Prayer is powerful. WIll you join us in praying for our Muslim neighbors throughout the DC area, that the Lord will reveal himself to them? Whether during Ramadan or throughout the rest of the year, join us in praying for the Muslim people groups in the region to come to faith in Christ. We pray that each group will have strong believers from that group who are passionate about going back into their community to lead others to faith in Christ.
